FeeReady trust and transparency

About FeeReady

Learn what FeeReady is, who it helps, how the calculator works and how it uses official RBA and ACCC sources.

What FeeReady is

FeeReady is a browser-based calculator and readiness hub for Australian businesses preparing for card-surcharge and merchant payment cost changes commencing 1 October 2026.

Who it is for

FeeReady is designed for small business owners, accountants, bookkeepers, payment consultants and advisers who need a practical way to model surcharge-recovery, merchant-fee and pricing scenarios.

What it does

The calculator estimates annual profit impact, required average price adjustments, current effective payment rate, provider comparison scenarios and a transition action plan based on user-entered assumptions.

What it does not do

FeeReady does not provide legal, tax or financial advice. It does not guarantee processor savings, final network rules, provider pricing or compliance outcomes.

Why FeeReady exists

Australian businesses need time to understand how payment-cost and surcharge-rule changes may affect margins, pricing and provider choices. FeeReady makes those conversations easier by turning business assumptions into transparent scenarios.

Source and review approach

Regulatory claims are tied to RBA and ACCC sources listed on the sources page. The site shows a last-reviewed date and should be reviewed regularly as implementation details are clarified.

Privacy-first calculator design

The calculator runs in the browser. Scenario data is not sent to a FeeReady server. If a user saves a scenario, it is stored in that browser’s localStorage unless the user exports or shares it.
